1. About this Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Alicia A. Walters collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit aliciaawalters.com, contact me through the website or use interactive features available on the website.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Alicia A. Walters is the data controller for personal information processed through this website.
This means I am responsible for deciding why and how personal information is used.
2. Information I may collect
The information collected depends on how you use the website.
If you submit a contact or enquiry form, I may collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your contact number, if you choose to provide it;
- the message or enquiry you submit;
- the area of the website or enquiry context connected with your submission; and
- technical information necessary to process and securely deliver the submission.
The website's general enquiry forms are not intended for the submission of detailed medical records, financial information, passwords or other highly sensitive information.
If you use Think It Through within the Wellness Innovation Lab, you can submit a free-text question without providing your name, email address or telephone number.
The website may also generate or process limited technical information associated with accessing and operating the website, such as information required by hosting, security and server infrastructure.
3. How I use your information
Personal information submitted through the website may be used to:
- receive, review and respond to your enquiry;
- understand which area of my work your enquiry relates to;
- communicate with you about your enquiry;
- operate and secure the website;
- prevent misuse or automated spam;
- provide functionality you have chosen to use, including Think It Through; and
- maintain appropriate business and administrative records where necessary.
I do not currently use personal information collected through this website for behavioural advertising, profiling or website analytics.
4. Lawful bases for processing
Under UK data protection law, I need a lawful basis for processing personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, I may rely on:
- Legitimate interests where it is necessary to receive, manage and respond to genuine enquiries, operate the website, maintain its security and administer my professional activities, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performance of a contract where your enquiry relates to services you are considering or have agreed to receive.
- Legal obligation where information needs to be processed or retained to meet an applicable legal requirement.
Where another lawful basis is required for a particular type of processing, I will identify and apply the appropriate basis.
5. Contact and enquiry forms
The website currently contains a central contact form and a Wellness Innovation Lab enquiry form.
These forms collect your name, email address, optional contact number and your message. The website may also attach the source and context of your enquiry so I can understand which part of my work you are contacting me about.
Form submissions are validated on the server before being transmitted by email to:
The website itself does not currently store enquiry submissions in an application database.
The website uses a hidden anti-spam field and server-side validation to help prevent automated or inappropriate submissions.
6. Email processing
Website enquiries are sent using a managed email service provided through Lovable.
Website-generated messages are sent from the verified sending infrastructure associated with:
notify.aliciaawalters.com
and are delivered to:
Your email address is included as the reply-to address so that I can respond to your enquiry.
The website does not sign into or access my professional mailbox. It sends the enquiry to it.
Information contained in an enquiry necessarily passes through the email-delivery infrastructure required to transmit the message.
7. Wellness Innovation Lab and Think It Through
The Wellness Innovation Lab includes an interactive feature called Think It Through.
Think It Through allows you to submit a question and receive an AI-generated reflective response.
You are not required to provide your name, email address or telephone number to use this feature.
Before a question is sent for AI processing, the website checks the text for certain types of potentially sensitive information, including contact details, financial information and medical or patient-record information. Where such information is detected, the submission may be stopped and you may be asked to rephrase the question without identifying or sensitive details.
Questions that pass this check are processed through Lovable's AI Gateway, which uses an OpenAI model to generate the response.
The website is configured not to create a stored AI conversation and does not save your question or response to its own application database or browser storage.
However, technical request or usage records may be processed by the infrastructure providers involved in delivering the AI functionality.
You should therefore avoid entering information that identifies you or another person, or confidential, medical, financial or similarly sensitive information, into Think It Through.
Think It Through is designed as a reflective tool. It does not make eligibility decisions, score or profile visitors, diagnose conditions, or make solely automated decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects.
8. Wellness Innovation Lab updates
If you choose to follow the Wellness Innovation Lab, I will use the name and email address you provide to send you occasional updates about work developing through the Lab.
I rely on your consent to do this. You will be asked to actively agree to receive these emails and to confirm your email address before you begin receiving updates.
Your subscriber information will be managed using MailerLite, which provides the email service used to send Wellness Innovation Lab updates.
MailerLite may also process technical information associated with your subscription, such as the date and time of subscription or confirmation and information used to maintain a record of your consent.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in each email.
If you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive Wellness Innovation Lab updates. A limited record may be retained to make sure you are not contacted again by mistake.
Your information will not be added to the Wellness Innovation Lab mailing list simply because you contact me through another part of this website.
9. Who may process your information
Depending on how you use the website, personal information or associated technical information may be processed by service providers supporting the website, including:
- Lovable, which provides website hosting, deployment, server functionality, managed email functionality and AI gateway services;
- the AI/model provider used through Lovable's AI Gateway where you choose to use Think It Through;
- my professional email provider, which receives and stores enquiries delivered to hello@aliciaawalters.com; and
- MailerLite, which provides the email subscription and sending service used for Wellness Innovation Lab updates, where you have chosen to follow the Lab; and
- infrastructure providers involved in securely delivering website content and requests.
These providers process information only where required to provide the relevant website or communication functionality, subject to their respective contractual and data-protection arrangements.
10. International processing
Some of the technology providers supporting this website may operate infrastructure or use service providers located outside the United Kingdom.
This means that personal information may, in some circumstances, be processed outside the UK.
Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer of personal information, appropriate transfer arrangements must be in place.
The exact infrastructure location used for every individual website request cannot currently be determined from the website implementation alone.
11. How long information is kept
I will keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where necessary to respond to an enquiry, maintain appropriate business records, resolve issues or meet legal obligations.
Enquiries delivered to hello@aliciaawalters.com may remain within my professional email system until they are no longer required for those purposes.
The website itself does not currently maintain a database archive of contact-form enquiries or Think It Through conversations.
Where you have chosen to follow the Wellness Innovation Lab, your name, email address and consent status are held within MailerLite for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, a limited record is retained so that you are not contacted again by mistake.
Website, email-delivery, hosting and AI infrastructure providers may retain limited technical, security or delivery records in accordance with their own applicable service arrangements and retention practices.
Retention arrangements will be reviewed as the website and its supporting services develop.
12. Cookies, analytics and tracking
The website does not currently use website analytics, advertising pixels, behavioural tracking, heat-mapping or similar visitor-tracking technologies.
It does not currently use Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
The website's fonts are hosted directly by the website rather than being loaded from Google Fonts.

These can include rights to:
- ask for access to personal information held about you;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- ask for personal information to be erased in certain circumstances;
- ask for processing to be restricted in certain circumstances;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain personal information in a portable format where the right applies; and
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights are not all absolute and may depend on the circumstances and lawful basis for processing.
Where I rely on legitimate interests as the lawful basis for processing your personal information, you have the right to object to that processing in certain circumstances.

15. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal information processed through the website.
These currently include server-side form validation, limits on submitted data, server-side handling of recipient details, anti-spam controls and keeping relevant service credentials away from the public browser environment.
No method of transmitting or storing information online can guarantee absolute security.
16. Changes to this Privacy Notice
